Laurel Marie Hagner

Glass and Steel

Laurel has designed, fabricated, and installed a number of sculptures in several cities around the Northwest. Her studio is in Wilsonville, Oregon, and she also works in Portland, Oregon for Savoy Studios, where she is Head of the Kiln-Forming Department.

Artist's Statement

My satisfaction in creating art comes from how it makes people feel. My goal is that the viewer finds beauty, intrigue, and at times a spiritual statement. My interests are broad. Sometimes I choose to explore where we are from, and where we are going as intellectual, emotional, and spiritual beings. Other times my artwork serves to create a welcoming and compelling atmosphere in homes as well as in the public. My sculptures grace galleries, homes, and architectural spaces. I hope you will find beauty and meaning in my work.
